Privacy Policy

Hi — we're AI PubQuiz. We help you make quizzes and run quiz nights. We'd rather keep this short and honest than bury you in legalese, so here's exactly what we collect and why.

What we collect

Just two things, really:

• Your sign-in details. When you sign in with Google (or by email), we receive your name, email address and profile photo. We use these to create your account, keep you signed in, and show you which quizzes are yours.
• Everything you put into a quiz. The topics, questions, answers, images and settings you create are saved to your account so you can come back to them, edit them, and host them.

We also keep basic technical bits that come with running a website — things like which pages get used and the occasional error report — so we can keep the app fast and fix things that break. We don't sell any of it, and we don't use it for advertising.

We use a self-hosted instance of Umami for cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics. Analytics data stays on our own infrastructure and is never shared with third parties.

Content you add is your responsibility

You're in charge of what goes into your quizzes. If you choose to include personal information about other people — names, photos, private details — that's your call and your responsibility, and you should make sure you're allowed to use it. Please don't put anything in a quiz that you wouldn't be comfortable being responsible for.

Who helps us run this

We use a few trusted companies to actually deliver the service. They only handle your data to do their job for us:

• Google — signing you in.
• Convex — storing your account and quizzes.
• Vercel — hosting the website.
• Resend — sending you the occasional email (like a sign-in link).
• Anthropic — the AI that helps generate your quiz content.
• Stripe — handling payments and subscription billing if you buy a pass or membership. We never see or store your full card details.

How long we keep things

We keep your account and quizzes for as long as you have an account. If you'd like everything deleted, just ask us and we'll remove your account and the content tied to it.

Your choices

You can view and edit your quizzes any time from your dashboard. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email us and we'll sort it out. If you're in the EU/UK, you have these rights under the GDPR, and we're happy to honour them.

Kids

AI PubQuiz isn't meant for children under 16. If you think a child has signed up, let us know and we'll remove the account.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Nothing sneaky — if it's a big change, we'll do our best to let you know.
